CAUTION :

Always be sure that the tool i s switched off and unplugged before attempting to perform inspection and maintenance.

Replacing carbon brushes

Remove and check the carbon brushes regularly. Replace when they wear down to the limit mark. Keep the carbon brushes clean and free to slip in the holders. Both carbon brushes should be replaced a t the same time. Use only Makita carbon brushes.

Lower saw blade as far as possible with the elevating knob; free lock lever and secure at point a t which you can insert screwdriver through window of cutting
