Devices connected to mains power can be damaged during a thunder storm. If there is a thunder storm, always remove the mains plug from the socket.

Leakage of battery acids can occur, especially with old batteries. You should remove all batteries from the Rapid Battery Charger if you do not intend to use it for an extended period. You can thus protect the Rapid Battery Charger from damage caused by leaking battery acids.
