Place the selector switch ￿ into the position Ni-MH if you want to charge Ni-MH batteries.

Place the selector switch ￿ into the position Ni-Cd if you want to charge Ni-Cd batteries.

Insert the batteries into the charging slots ￿ .

Note:

This appliance is equipped with an individual shaft monitor, which allows it to charge 1 to 4 batteries of differing sizes (AA or AAA), capa- city or charge condition. Ni-MH and Ni-Cd batteries must not be loaded simultaneously. Ensure that the batteries are inserted into the charging slots in accordance with their polarities. Otherwise, the batteries will not be charged.

The charging process now begins. The Rapid Battery Charger has a control lamp ￿ for each cell in the charging slots ￿. The control lamps ￿ show the charging condition of the individual batteries.
