REPAIR GUIDE
Before disassembly, be sure to remove the saw blade to prevent damage to the cutting edge or personal injury due to the saw blade.
1. Precautions on Disassembly and Reassembly
The disassembly and reassembly procedures are described below, as well as certain precautions. The numbers in the descriptions below correspond to item numbers in the Parts List for all the models. In disassembly, reassembly or other work, the Base [68] should be carefully handled to prevent any loss of accuracy for each part, such as flatness of the bottom surface.
Disassembly
1. Removal of the Protective Cover
(a)Detach the hook of the Return Spring [6] from the Protective Cover [5].
(b)Loosen the Seal Lock Flat Hd. Screw M3 x 12 [9] that secures the Bearing Cover [8] in place, and then remove the Bearing Cover [8] and Protective Cover [5].
2. Removal of the Bearing Holder
Loosen the Seal Lock Flat Hd. Screws M5 x 12 [4], and then remove the Bearing Holder [3] together with the Spindle and Gear Set [2].
3. Removal of the Spindle and Gear Set
Secure the Bearing Holder [3] in a cylindrical jig having an inner diameter of 42 to 43 mm (about

Once removed, a gear can no longer be used due to lack of engagement. It must be replaced by a new Spindle and Gear Set [2].

4. Removal of the Housing Ass’y

(b)Loosen the Machine Screws (W/Washers) M5 x 45 (Black) [15] that secure the Housing Ass'y [30] in place, and then remove the Housing Ass'y [30] and Gear Cover Ass'y [26].
