A dimensional 4x4 may be cut with one cut by attaching an auxiliary fence of 7/8 thickness, with screws to the miter saw fence as shown on previous page,,

Vertical Bevel Cutting

To make a miter cut in a 2x4 workpiece (actual 1-5/8" x 3-1/2") in the vertical position (on edge) a spacer, such as the auxitiary fence described in the previous page, is required•
