FLOOR LOAD
Your G2891, when mounted to your wood lathe, represents a large weight load in a small foot- print. Be sure that the floor in your work area is adequately reinforced to support the weight of the lathe and copy attachment.
WORKING CLEARANCES
Working clearances can be thought of as the dis- tances between machines and obstacles that allow safe operation of every machine without limitation. Ensure that your working area offers plenty of room for free movement and a substan- tial amount of distance between you and others that may be working in your shop space.
LIGHTING AND OUTLETS
Lighting should be bright enough to eliminate shadows and prevent eye strain. Electrical cir- cuits should be dedicated or large enough to han- dle combined motor amp loads of the lathe and other machinery connected to that circuit. Outlets should be located near each machine so power or extension cords are not obstructing
Make your shop “child safe”. Ensure that your workplace is inaccessible to young- sters by closing and locking all entrances when you are away. Never allow visitors in your shop when assembling, adjusting or operating equipment.
