It is recommende(J that you have a qualified electrician

replace the TWO prong outlet with a properly grounded THREE prong out_et:.

An adapter as shown below is available for connecting plugs

to 2-prong _ec{:ptactes, The green grounding lug extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground

s_ch as to a properly grounded outlet box.

NOTE: The adapter illustrated is for use only if you already

have a properW grounded 2-prong receptacle.

The use of any extension cord will ,cause some loss of

power. To keep this to a minimum and to prevent over-

heating and motor burn-out, use the table below to deter-

mitre the mirdmtjm wire size (A.W.G.) extension cord. Use

only 3 wire extension cords which have 3-prong grounding

type plugs and 3-pole receptacles which accept the too& plug.
