To clean the canister filters:

1.Move the canister handle back and forth to free trapped dust particles from the filter (Figure 25). The particles will fall into the col- lection bag.

To empty the collection bag:

1.Make sure you are wearing a repirator and the dust collector is unplugged.

2.When the collection bag is full, unclamp the collection bag and dispose of the dust.

3.Install a new collection bag.

While the Model G0562 excels at collecting the majority of wood dust produced by your machines, it is not an air filter; therefore, we strongly recommend the supplemental aid of a shop air filter such as the Grizzly G5955 or G9956. Air filters are designed to collect the smaller dust particles that dust collector bags cannot trap.

Baffle Adjustment

If you notice that one dust collector bag is filling up faster than the other, there is a flow problem which should be corrected. This adjustment may take some trial and error.

To adjust the baffle:

1.Disconnect the machine from the power source!

2.Remove the canister, lower bag and collec- tor from the side that is collecting the most dust.

3.Reach inside the metal intake and move the baffle (Figure 26) toward you. Note—The manifold flow adjustment piece is solid and needs to be bent to allow for adjustment. towards the opening of the bag that is col- lecting the most dust to equalize the bag col- lection.

Model G0562 specifications

The Grizzly Model G0562 is a versatile tool that has gained recognition among woodworkers for its robust features and advanced technologies. Primarily designed as a 16” band saw, it caters to both hobbyists and professionals, providing the capability to handle a wide range of cutting tasks with precision and ease.

One of the standout features of the G0562 is its powerful 2 HP motor, which ensures reliable performance and the ability to tackle thick hardwoods without stalling or compromise on speed. With a blade speed of 3,100 feet per minute, it allows for quick and efficient cutting, making it ideal for both resawing and intricate curves. The machine can accommodate blade widths ranging from 1/8” to 3/4”, providing users with the flexibility to choose the appropriate blade for their specific tasks.

The G0562 also incorporates an impressive 12” resaw capacity, a feature that significantly enhances its functionality. This allows users to cut thick pieces of wood into thinner slices, making it perfect for creating veneers or for those who wish to achieve more complex wood designs. The built-in adjustable fence ensures straight cuts, while the integrated miter gauge facilitates precise angled cuts.

Durability is a significant characteristic of the Grizzly G0562. It is built with a heavy-duty cast iron frame, reducing vibrations and contributing to stable operation. This not only prolongs the life of the machine but also improves the accuracy of every cut. Additionally, the saw features high-quality, precision ball bearings that contribute to smooth blade movement and extended longevity.

For safety and ease of use, the G0562 includes an oversized cast iron table that measures 16” x 24”, providing ample workspace and stability during cutting operations. The table is also tilt-adjustable, allowing for bevel cuts, which adds to its versatility. Furthermore, Grizzly has implemented an effective dust collection port, ensuring a cleaner workspace by minimizing sawdust accumulation.

In summary, the Grizzly Model G0562 is a well-engineered band saw equipped with a powerful motor, impressive resaw capacity, and built with durable materials. Its features cater to a broad range of woodworking projects, making it an essential addition to any workshop seeking efficiency, precision, and safety in their cutting tasks.
