Additional Safety Instructions For Grinders

1.Wear a face shield and/or safety gog- gles.

2.Use clamps and supports to sharpen tools.

3.Grinding creates sparks. Make sure your work area is free of combustible materials.

4.Dress the grinding wheel when its sur- face becomes rutted or uneven. Replace the wheel if the wear or damage becomes excessive.

5.Do not use a wheel that is cracked or chipped.

6.Be sure the grinder is mounted on a sta- ble surface.

7.If you are unclear about operating the machine, don’t do it. Please call our ser- vice department if you have questions about any element of this machine’s operation.

8.Use care when handling sharpened cut- ting tools.

Like all power tools, there is danger associ- ated with the Model G2790 Universal Knife Grinder. Accidents are frequently caused by lack of familiarity or failure to pay atten- tion. Use this tool with respect and caution to lessen the possibility of operator injury. If normal safety precautions are overlooked or ignored serious personal injury may occur.
