Power Connection

Polarized Plug Requirements

This grinder is equipped with a 16AWG power cord and typical 1-15 polarized plug. This plug may only be inserted into a typical grounded receptacle (outlet) one way. DO NOT attempt to force it into the receptacle. Ensure that the plug is fully inserted before operating this tool.

Serious injury could occur if you connect the tool to power before completing the setup process. DO NOT connect to power until instructed later in this manual.

After you have completed all the previous setup instructions, the tool is ready to be connected to the power supply.

To avoid unexpected startups or property damage, use the following steps whenever connecting or disconnecting the tool.

Connecting Power

1.Turn the tool power switch OFF.

2.Insert the power cord plug into a match- ing power supply receptacle. The tool is now connected to the power source (see Figure 7).

Disconnecting Power

1.Turn the tool power switch OFF.

2.Grasp the molded plug and pull it com- pletely out of the receptacle. Do not pull by the cord as this may damage the wires inside (see Figure 8).
