SECTION 4: OPERATIONS

Using this machine produces dust which may cause eye injuries or respiratory problems. Protect your- self by wearing safety glasses and a respirator during the entire operation process.

Keep loose clothing rolled up and out of the way of machin- ery and keep hair pulled back.

Disconnect power from the machine when performing any maintenance, assem- bly or adjustments. Failure to do this may result in serious per- sonal injury.

Test Run

To test run the buffer:

1.Plug the machine into the power source.

2.Stand to the side of the buffer and turn the machine ON.

The machine should run smoothly with little or no vibration or rubbing noises. Strange or unusual noises should be inves- tigated and corrected before operating the machine further. If the machine seems okay, stay out of the line of rotation of either wheel and let it run for approximate- ly one minute to make sure the wheels are structurally sound and safe to use.

If you cannot easily locate the source of an unusual noise or vibration, contact our Technical Support department for help.

All grinding wheels, regardless of size, have the potential of breaking apart during operation, causing seri- ous personal injury or death! Always stand to the side of the grinder when turning it ON and wear the proper safety equipment to protect yourself.
