Instructions for Use

!WARNING

Do not use an unapproved extension cord with the

preheater. Use of an improper extension cord may cause electrical shock. Use an

extension cord which complies with NEC requirements and state and local codes and other requirements.

1.Remove the 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) Easy 250 Adhesive Preheater from its shipping container and inspect for obvious damage. If damaged, do not use and immediately contact your local 3M representative.

2.Insert the power cord into the receptacle on the back, lower side of the preheater. Make sure the ground pin on the preheater is aligned with the ground receptacle on the cord.

!Caution

Avoid contact with top surface and metal heating chambers of preheater during use and hot

adhesive cartridges and adhesive. May cause burns.

IMPORTANT: Wear heat resistant gloves and safety glasses when using.

!WARNING

Use only 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) Easy 250 Adhesive Cartridges.

Use with any other material may cause hazardous conditions.

3.Plug the preheater into a grounded 120 VAC receptacle.

4.a. Depress upper portion of ON-OFF switch for high temperature heating of 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Polyurethane Reactive and 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) Easy 250 adhesives.

4.b. Depress lower portion of ON-OFF switch for low temperature heating of 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) Easy adhesives.
