General Operation

Play/Pause Button

Press once to start playback. The indicator on the right will turn on. Press again to stop playing the disc temporarily. The indicator on the right will flash. Press once more to resume playback.

Stop Button

Press to stop playback. The total number of tracks will be shown.

Next/Fast Forward Button

Press and release to go to the next track. Press and hold to fast forward the current track.

Previous/Fast Backward Button

Press and release to go back to the beginning of the current track. Press twice to go back to the previous track. Press and hold to fast backward the current track.

Repeat 1

Press the Repeat Button once, the track number shown will be repeated. The indicator on the left will flash.

Repeat All

Press the Repeat Button twice, all tracks will be repeated. The indicator on the left will turn on. Press again to resume normal playback. The indicator on the left will turn off.

Program Button

In the stop mode, press the Program Button, the track number on the display will flash. Use the Next/Previous Buttons to choose the tracks you wish to program, then press the Program Button again to finish the first track programming.

Repeat the above steps to program more tracks. Maximum of 20 tracks can be programmed. Press the Play Button to start, the tracks will play in the programmed order.

To clear the program memory, press the Stop Button.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Auto Stop

When the end of the tape is reached while playing or recording, the motor is switched off and the buttons released. This feature does not work for “Rewind” or “Fast Forward”, and the Stop Button must be pressed when the cassette spools (visible through the window) stop turning.

Automatic Level Control (ALC)

This unit has built-in ALC circuitry, which automatically adjusts the optimum recording level.

MAINTENANCE & CARE

1.Check your batteries regularly, old or dead batteries should be replaced. If the unit is not going to be used for a long time or is being run exclusively on AC power, remove the batteries to avoid leakage and damage.

2.Electronic products of this kind should never be subjected to extreme temperatures or high humidity to ensure normal functioning and a long life-time. For instance, this set should not be placed in bathing areas, nor close to stoves and radiators.

3.If necessary, clean the unit with a piece of cloth dampened with water only. (Be sure the AC Power Cord is disconnected from the outlet.) Never use a polish nor a strong detergent as this will damage the finish of the cabinet.

4.The heads and capstan are in constant contact with the moving tape. If dirt or dust adheres to them, deterioration of performance, such as sound decrease, distortion or fluctuation will result. Use a small cotton bud with alcohol or special tape head cleaner to clean these parts. Never touch the heads with anything Metallic.
