Step 4 Settings

Change the settings to suit your equipment to the environment in which you are using it. Before making any changes, read the descriptions of the settings, note the factory settings and ranges, and refer to the equipment’s instructions.

DISTANCE

Enter the distance of the front, center and surround speakers from the seating position.

The factory settings are: FRONT:	3.0 m
CENTER:	3.0 m
SURROUND:	1.5 m

D-INPUT (digital input)

Change the setting for the DIGITAL IN terminals (OPT1, OPT2, COAXIAL) on the rear of the unit if the equipment you have connected is different to that labelled.

The factory settings are:

1	Enter the setup mode.
	2 TUNE 2	SETUP
	Press at the same time.
2	Select “DISTANCE”.	DISTANCE
	INPUT SELECTOR
		DISTANCE	DR COMP
		D-INPUT	A/D ATT
3	Select the speaker.
	MENU	FRONT
		FRONT	CENTER
		SURROUND
4	Change the setting.
	2 TUNE 2	3.0 m
	OR
		1.0 m 10.0 m
	Repeat steps 3 and 4
5	Exit the setup mode.
	2 TUNE 2	COMPLETE

Press at the same time.

	OR
			OPT 1 OPT 2 COAX
	Repeat steps 3 and 4
5	Exit the setup mode.
	2 TUNE	2	COMPLETE
	Press at the same time.
Note					RQT7953
You can allocate only one piece of equipment per terminal. So

for example if you change “TV” from “OPT1” to “OPT2”, “DVR” will automatically switch to “OPT1”.
