Tool Set Up

To prevent serious injury

from accidental operation: Turn tool off and remove Battery Pack before performing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.

To prevent serious injury: Do not adjust or tamper with any control or component in a way not specifically explained within manual. Improper adjustment can result in tool failure or other serious hazards.

Charging

1.Please refer to the Charger manual for important safety warnings and proper instructions on charging the Battery Pack (40).

2.WARNING! Do NOT use a different Charger or Battery to power this Drill.

General Operating Instructions

1.Note: When tool is not being used or when battery, drills, or screwdriver bits are being attached or removed, slide Direction Selector (38) to its mid-position to lock Trigger.

2.Note: To change direction of rotation,

ALWAYS release Trigger allowing motor to come to complete stop first.

3.This Drill is designed to accept up to

3/8” shank size standard drill bits, as

well as hex shank screwdriver bits and bit holder adapters. Do not use larger size drill bits as damage to gears/motor may result. Always use a drill bit that is designed for specific drilling job

4.Slide Direction Selector (38) to its mid-position. While holding ring behind collar of Chuck (2) with one hand, rotate collar counterclockwise to open jaws. Insert shank of drill bit or hex shank of bit/adapter into Chuck. Turn collar clockwise to hand tighten (do not use pliers.)

5.Turn Torque Selector (6) to the de- sired setting and then slide charged battery pack onto base of tool until locked into position. Gently pull on battery to ensure that it is locked securely. Slide Direction Selector to right for drilling / fastening or to left for reversing.

6.Place one hand over top of housing for greater tool stability. With other hand grip handle and gently squeeze

Trigger to activate motor. Use Cylin- drical Vial Level (45) at rear top-side and Circular Vial Level (46) on back of the housing as alignment guides.

7.Do not force bit. Excessive force will damage tip and lead to tool failure.

8.If drill bit becomes stuck, immediately release Trigger allowing tool to come to complete stop. Slide Direction Selector to left to its reverse position and squeeze Trigger.

9.To prevent accident and injuries, when not in use, remove the attach- ment and the battery pack from the tool.
