Migration Scripts

Table 1-3 shows a list of the LDAP-UX client administrator’s tools. These tools can be used to manage data in an LDAP directory server.

ldapdelete

Allows you to delete entries in the

 

 

directory.

 

 

 

 

 

ldapmodify

Allows you to add, delete, modify, or

 

 

rename directory entries. All operations

 

 

are specified using LDIF update

 

 

statements.

 

 

 

 

 

ldappasswd

Changes passwords in the LDAP

 

 

directory.

 

 

 

 

 

ldapsearch

Allows you to search the LDAP directory.

 

 

Returns results in LDIF format.

 

 

 

 

 

Table 1-4 shows the migration scripts, these migration scripts can be

 

found under /opt/ldapux/migrate/nisplusmigration. For a complete

 

description of the tools and scripts, what they do, and how to use them,

 

see Chapter 3, “Command and Tool Reference,” on page 39.
