This chapter describes how to install and verify installation of 3PAR VAAI Plug-in 1.1.0 for VMware vSphere 4.1. Instructions for deinstalling the software are also provided.

NOTE: 3PAR VAAI Plug-in 1.1.0 for VMware vSphere 4.1 is only intended for VMware vSphere 4.1 and does not support any other VMware vSphere releases.

3.1 Installing 3PAR VAAI Plug-in for VMware vSphere 4.1

The following section includes preinstallation and installation instructions for 3PAR VAAI Plug- in 1.1.0 for VMware vSphere 4.1.

You can either perform the installation using VMware vSphere Update Manager (VUM) or vCLI for ESX/ESXi hosts, or optionally esxupdate on the ESX host console.
