4.Slide the access panel about 6.35 mm (1/4 inch) toward the bottom of the unit, and then lift the access panel up and off the chassis.

Removing the left metal side cover

NOTE: Do not remove the metal side cover to install a SODIMM. The SODIMM compartment is in the right side of the chassis.

You must remove the metal side cover to access internal components such as the battery or to install a flash memory module.

1.Push the tab (1) in the front edge of the side cover toward the back to release the cover.

2.Lift the front edge of the metal side cover (2), then pull the cover (3) to the front and lift it off the chassis.
