3 Setting Up the Monitor

To set up the monitor, ensure that the power is turned off to the monitor, computer system, and other attached devices, then follow the instructions below.

Unfolding the Monitor Pedestal Base

NOTE: The monitor is shipped with the base attached in a folded-flat position. To begin using the monitor, you must unfold the base and place the monitor in an upright position.

1.Lift the monitor from its box and place it on a flat surface with the display head facing up.

2.Pivot the display head from portrait to landscape position (1). Figure 3-1Pivoting the Display Head

3.Press down on the rear hinge (2) while gently pulling up on the monitor display head (3).

4.Raise the monitor (4) to extend the pedestal base to the desired height.

CAUTION: Do not touch the surface of the LCD panel. Pressure on the panel may cause non- uniformity of color or disorientation of the liquid crystals. If this occurs the screen will not recover to its normal condition.
