6 Warnings and safety information

The Travel Companion is a navigation system that helps you find your way to your selected destination. It determines your exact location with the help of the built-in GPS device. The position information obtained from the GPS receiver is not transmitted elsewhere. Therefore, others cannot track you with the help of this application.

If you are the driver of the vehicle, we recommend that you operate the Travel Companion before beginning your journey. The driver’s attention should always be on the road. Plan your route before departure, and pull over if you need to change route parameters.

It is also important that you look at the display only if it is absolutely safe to do so.

You should always observe traffic signs and road geometry before you obey any instruction from the Travel Companion. If you need to deviate from the recommended direction, the Travel Companion suggests a modified route according to the new situation.

Never place your Travel Companion where it can obstruct the view of the driver, is within the deployment zone of airbags, or where it can cause injuries in case of an accident.
