After opening the shipping carton, remove the molded foam top from the carton. Remove the platform and place onto a flat,

level and steady surface. The 100 LB and 250 LB capacity platforms are shipped with inserts to protect them from shock loading during shipment. These inserts must be removed before attempting to operate the platform.

To remove the foam inserts, begin by removing the top platform cover. The inserts are corrugated cardboard blocks, placed between the upper and lower frames of the platform. Simply slide these blocks out and replace the platform cover.

Leveling the LSC6400

For best weighing results the platform should be properly leveled before operating. To level:

∙Remove the top platform cover to expose the level bubble located on the top frame.

∙Using the level bubble as a guide, adjust the four feet until the bubble is centered in the level.

∙When the platform is level, firmly tighten the hex jam nuts on the feet.

∙Replace the platform cover.

∙Any time the platform is relocated, it should be re-leveled.
