Subject: FRICTION MATERIAL - PAD CLARIFICATION
We’ve received a number of questions regarding the 66 and 73 millimeter calipers and the friction material (pads) used on each. For clarification please refer to the chart below.

Note: The MKD786A pad is .080 inches thinner than the MKD786 but is the same in all other respects. The MKD786A can be used in place of the MKD786 in the 73mm caliper, part number 55850, but will provide less mileage since it is thinner.
Due to the thickness of the MKD786 pad it can not be used with the 66mm caliper, part number 55849.
