Step 4. Then push the DIMM in until its golden finger is deeply inserted in the DIMM slot. The slot clips at each side of the DIMM slot will automati- cally close when the DIMM is properly seated.

Step 5. Follow the same procedures to install more DIMMs if necessary.

Step 6. Replace the fan duct on top of the CPU and DIMM.

Important

In Multi-Channel mode, make sure that you install memory modules of the same type and density in different channel DIMM slots.

To enable successful system boot-up, always insert the memory modules into the DIMM1 first.

You can barely see the golden finger if the memory module is properly inserted in the DIMM slot.
