Maximaal 12 SD833 rookmelders kunnen onderling verbonden worden zodat wanneer 1 rookmelder een alarm genereert, ze allemaal deze melding zullen geven. Dit zorgt ervoor dat u het alarm beter hoort. Verbind de rookmelder niet aan andere producten dan de SD833, daar het de werking kan beïnvloeden of de rookmelder kan beschadigen.

Voor het onderling verbinden van uw rookmelders kunt u een kabel gebruiken van maximaal 1.500 meter (5.000 voet) van 18 AWG (0,82mm). De maximale belasting tussen de melders is 50 Ohm. De rookmelders verbindt u door (voordat u ze aan plafond schroeft) onderling alle draden die gemerkt zijn als 1 samen te verbinden met aansluiting 1 en

alle draden die gemerkt zijn als 2 samen te verbinden met aansluiting 2. Zie figuur 2. Er kan stof in de rookkamer

komen via contactdozen, buizen of gaten. Hierdoor kan de rookmelder ongevoeliger worden. Het is daarom belangrijk dat dergelijke openingen door siliconekit of gelijkaardig worden gesloten.

Test nadat u twee rookmelders onderling heeft verbonden door op de test knop te drukken. Beide rookmelders dienen nu hetzelfde alarm te genereren en de LED op de test knop van de eerste rookmelder licht op (1x per seconde). Controleer de volgende rookmelders op dezelfde manier.
