1.Open the cover by lifting the opening tab while firmly holding the base with your other hand.

2.Install a 9V battery into the detector’s battery snap. See 5.b Placing the battery

3.Insert the Test jumper; the SD833 enters Test mode and the LED flashes every few seconds.

4.From the Programming menu, select Devices, Zones [911].

5.Select the zone to which you want to register the transmitter; the system initiates Registration mode. When Save? appears on the panel’s LCD display, press 9.

6.After registration, remove the Test jumper and place it over one pin for storage.

The Smoke Detector is battery operated and needs only wiring, if the Inter-connect facility is being used.

1.Before permanently mounting the unit, test the transmitter from the exact mounting position.

2.Pull cover open at tab.

3.Place the base on ceiling or wall exactly where you want to mount the unit. With a pencil, mark the location of the screw holes.
