3.Fully recline the monitor backward pressing the FOLD button.
4.Reconnect the monitor cables.

You need to fold the monitor base before installing a VESA base.
Align four bolt holes 
on the monitor base with the holes 
on the VESA base and then fasten the base with four bolts
