Settings menu

Sound settings

	* Default
Item	Description
Volume	Adjust the volume of any sound.
	(Off, Low, Medium*, High)
Beep Sound	Select a sound to be emitted when pressing the
	buttons or switching modes. (Off, On*)
Shutter Sound	Select a sound to be emitted when pressing the
	shutter button. (Off, 1*, 2, 3)
Start Sound	Select a sound to be emitted when turning on your
	camera. (Off*, 1, 2, 3)
AF Sound	Set to emit a sound to be emitted when half-
	pressing the shutter button. (Off, On*)
Self-Portrait	Set to emit a sound when the camera detects
	your face. (Off, On*)

Display settings

	* Default
Item	Description
Language	Select a language for the display text.
Function	Display a brief description of an option or menu.
Description	(Off, On*)
	Set a start image to display when the camera turns
	on.
	t Off*: Display no start image.
	t Logo: Display a default image stored in the internal
Start Image	memory.
	t User Image : Display the image you want. (p. 76)
	t Only one start image will be saved in the internal
	memory.
	t If you select a new photo as a start image or reset
	your camera, the current image will be deleted.
Grid Line	Select a type of the grid lines that help you to
	compose a scene. (2 X 2*, 3 X 3, +, X)
Display	Adjust the brightness of the screen.
	(Auto*, Dark, Normal, Bright)
Brightness	Normal is fixed in Playback mode even if Auto is selected.
