The camera takes a shot only if the focus is set correctly when you press [Shutter].

Turn on this function to always get a properly focused photo. Turn it off to take a photo regardless of focus.

To set the focus priority,

In Shooting mode, press [m] ► 2 ► AF Priority ► an option.
