Note: For the best FM reception, fully extend the telescoping antenna. To improve AM reception, adjust the radio's position.

4.Adjust OFF/VOL to a comfortable listening volume level.

5.Set TONE HI/LO to the desired setting: HI - for normal sound

LO - to reduce high frequencies

To turn off the radio, rotate OFF/VOL upward until it clicks.

USING THE EARPHONE

To listen in privacy, plug the supplied earphone into the EAR jack.

Note: The internal speaker automatically disconnects when you plug in the earphone.

Listening Safely

Do not listen at extremely high-volume levels. Extended high-volume listening can lead to permanent hearing loss. To protect your hearing, follow these guidelines when you use earphones.

Set the volume to the lowest setting before you begin listening.

After you begin listening, adjust the volume to a comfortable level.

Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over time, your ears adapt to the volume level, so a volume level that does not cause discomfort might still damage your hearing.
