Video Resolution

You can select the resolution of video to be recorded on storage media.

1Press the Home ( ) button p touch “Settings” p “Shooting” p “Video Resolution”.

2Touch the desired submenu item.

Full HD 1080/60i

HD 720/60p

SD 480/60p

3To exit the menu, touch the Return ( ) tab.

Submenu items

Full HD 1080/60i ( ): Records in the Full HD (1920x1080/60i) format.

HD 720/60p ( ): Records in the HD (1280x720/60p) format.

SD 480/60p ( ): Records in the SD (720x480/60p) format.

• “60i” indicates the camcorder will record in interlaced scan mode at 60 fields per second.

“60p” indicates the camcorder will record in progressive scan mode at 60 frames per second.

Recorded files are encoded using Variable Bit Rate (VBR). VBR is an encoding system that automatically adjusts the bit rate in response to the image being recorded.

The available video recording time differs according to the video resolution you select. ¬page 33

Photo Resolution

You can select the resolution of the photo to be recorded.

1Press the Home ( ) button p touch “Settings” p “Shooting” p “Photo Resolution”.

2Touch the desired submenu item.

4.9M 2944X1656 ( ): Records in the 2944x1656 resolution.

2M 1920X1080 ( 2M ): Records in the 1920x1080 resolution.

Photos that are recorded on your camcorder may not playback properly on other digital devices that do not support these photo sizes.
