Focus switch

Before taking an image, you have to check that the Focus switch is in the desired position. As there can be some differences between what is seen through the Viewfinder and the resulting image when taken at a range closer than 1.5m, it is recommended that you use the LCD monitor to compose the shot.

There are 3 kinds of focus options in the STILL IMAGE mode.

Macro ( ) focus mode

The focus range is 0.19m ~ 0.21m. A Macro/Portrait

icon ( ) will display on the LCD monitor when you select this focus mode.

NOTICE

To prevent the image from being dim, maintain the focus range at 0.19m ~ 0.21m.

Portrait( ) focus mode

The focus range is 0.8m ~ 1.6m. A Macro/Portrait icon ( ) will display on the LCD monitor when you select this focus mode.
