Getting Connected

1.Connecting DVD Recorder-VCR to the TV using the RF Cable

1.Disconnect the input aerial or cabled network cable from the TV.

2.Connect the cable to the 75 coaxial connector marked located at the back of the DVD Recorder-VCR.

3.Connect the provided RF cable to the connec- tor marked TV at the back of the DVD Recorder-VCR.

4.Connect the other end of the cable to the TV aerial jack, which was used for the aerial input.

2. Connecting the DVD Recorder-VCR to the TV using a SCART Cable

To have better quality images and a better sound on your TV, you can also connect your DVD recorder-VCR to the TV using the scart cable if your TV has this kind of connection.

Whichever connection method you choose, the provided RF cable must always be con- nected. Otherwise, you won’t get any image on the screen when the DVD recorder- VCR is off.

Make sure that the TV and the DVD recorder-VCR are both off before making any con- nections.

1.Connect the RF cable as indicated on page 16.

2.Connect one end of the provided scart cable to the scart connector at the back of the DVD Recorder-VCR.

3.Connect the other end of the provided scart cable to the scart connector of the TV.

3.Connecting the DVD recorder-VCR to a set top box or another equipment

You can connect the DVD Recorder-VCR to a set top box or connect a satellite tuner to the DVD Recorder-VCR using the scart cable (If the appro- priate outputs are available on the units you want to use). The below diagram presents two ways of connection according to the unit you want to con- nect to the VCR:

1.Connecting a satellite tuner (Without VCR/TV interface)

This connection is made using the scart cable (Provided with the satellite tuner).

2.Procedure:

Connect the scart cable to the set top box or another unit using the blue scart connector AV2 (DEC./EXT.) located on the back of the DVD Recorder-VCR. Once the unit is connected, select the source by pressing the INPUT SEL. button.
