ADDITIONAL ACCESSORIES

Attach either of the additional accessories to either the hose handle Ó or the telescopic tube Á as described in ‘Operating the appliance’.

•Upholstery nozzle with detachable dusting brush È can be separated into two parts:

Dusting brush: for pelmets, delicate objects etc.

Upholstery nozzle: for carpet, upholstery and stairs etc.

•Crevice tool Í for awkward places, behind radiators etc.

TOOLS STORAGE

The crevice tool and upholstery nozzle with detachable dusting brush can be stored on board the hose handle for added convenience.

The on-handle tool storage  may be removed if not required. Push the on-handle tool storage backwards towards the hose and pull away E.

SUCTION CONTROL

When required, the control on the hose handle may be slid backwards to reduce the suction. Slide forwards for maximum suction.

TUBE PARKING

During short breaks in cleaning, the tubes can be held in an upright, ‘standby’ position. Rotate the floor nozzle until the lug on the neck can be fitted into the tube standby slot

Âon the rear of the appliance, whilst you move furniture for instance.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the appliance is never left unattended whilst it is switched on.

SAFETY CUT-OUT

If the cleaner overheats, a motor protection thermostat will automatically switch the motor off. If this happens, switch the cleaner off, unplug from the power supply and leave the cleaner to cool for at least 60 minutes. Check the airways for blockages, empty the dust canister and clean the filters before restarting.

PRODUCT STORAGE

IMPORTANT: Always unplug the vacuum cleaner from the electrical outlet and rewind the power cable as directed before storing.

NOTE: Always store the vacuum cleaner base down.

EMPTYING THE DUST

CANISTER

Empty the dust canister ¤ regularly even if it does not look full, this will maintain the performance.

1Unplug the cleaner from the mains outlet.

2Press the dust canister release button fl and pull the canister away from the main body F.

3Take the canister to a dustbin.

4Hold the dust canister over the dustbin. Press the dust canister empty button › on the back of the dust canister. This opens the door at the base of the canister for the contents to be emptied-out.
