If the malfunction persists:

Refer to the instruction for use of the external audio de- vice. Check to see if settings have to be made in the au- dio device to connect it to hi-fi components.

17.5. The remote control unit is not working

AMake sure that the batteries for the remote control unit have been properly inserted in the battery compartment.

BThe batteries of the remote control unit could be empty. In this case, exchange both batteries for new AAA/LR03/ Micro type batteries.

ôNote:

Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste! Re- turn the used batteries to an appropriate recycling collection center. Used batteries can usually be returned to the store in which they were bought.

CCheck to see if there are any obstacles between the re- mote control unit and the infrared receiver on the main unit.

DPlease note: The remote control unit only functions within a range of five meters from the main unit.
