TO TURN OFF GAS

TO APPLIANCE

1.Turn off remote control or wall switch.

2.Turn off all electric power to the ap- pliance if service is to be performed.

3.Remove control access panel.

4.Push in gas control knob slightly and

turn clockwise to “OFF”. Do not force.

5.Replace control access panel.

Note: It is recommended that you main- tain the gas control knob in the full "OFF" position during lengthy periods of sea- sonal non-usage.

Follow instructions included with the re- mote control.

NOTICE: You must light the pilot before using the hand-held re- mote control unit. See Lighting Instructions, page 19.

Lighting Instructions

1.After lighting, let pilot flame burn for about one minute. Turn control knob to ON position. Slide the selector switch to the REMOTE position. Note: The burners may light if hand-held remote ON button was on when selector switch was last turned off. You can now turn the burners on and off with the hand- held remote control unit.

IMPORTANT: Do not leave the se- lector switch in the REMOTE posi- tion when the pilot is not lit. This will drain the battery.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to press the ON/OFF buttons on the hand-held remote control unit for up to 3 sec- onds to assure proper operation.

2.Press ON/OFF button to turn the burners on and off. When turning burners off, the pilot will remain lit.
