NOISE LEVEL

Portable air conditioners may make sounds that are not familiar to you. The sounds listed below are normal. Noise reflecting off hard surfaces such as a floor or wall can make the sounds seem louder than they actually are.

The compressor may make a pulsating or high-pitched sound.

Water running from the evaporator to the water tank may make a splashing sound.

Refrigerant flowing may make a gurgling sound.

Fan sound may come from front and back air vents.

WATER DRAINAGE

During the process of cooling, some water will be extracted from the air into the unit. Most of this water is used to cool and exhausted to the outside. If the unit is operated in high humidity or low temperature environment, water will collect in the reservoir inside the unit. If the reservoir is full, the compressor will stop. To continue the cooling function, please drain the water.

Manual drain:

1.Turn off the unit.

2.Position a flat container or dish under the drain plug.

3.Remove the drain plug and the condensed water will drain out automatically.

4.Once all the condensed water is drained, replace the drain plug into the drain firmly.

Continuous drainage:

In COOL or DRY modes, remove the upper drain plug from the back of the unit and put a container under the drain port to catch the water. Or install the drain water hose and place the open end of the hose to a drain area.

ARC-131GD specifications

The Whynter ARC-131GD is a versatile and powerful portable air conditioner designed to provide effective cooling solutions in various indoor environments. With its compact design and robust performance, it is suitable for rooms up to 400 square feet, making it an ideal choice for homes, offices, and other spaces requiring efficient temperature control.

One of the standout features of the ARC-131GD is its dual hose system. Unlike single-hose models that can create negative pressure, this unit utilizes two distinct hoses: one for intake and one for exhaust. This design allows for faster and more efficient cooling by drawing in air from outside to cool the condenser and expelling warm air, resulting in a significant reduction in cooling times and improved energy efficiency.

Equipped with advanced cooling technology, the Whynter ARC-131GD operates with an impressive cooling capacity of 13,000 BTU. This means it can effectively lower the temperature in a medium-sized room even in sweltering conditions. Additionally, the unit operates quietly, making it perfect for use in bedrooms, study areas, or any other space where noise levels need to be kept low.

The dehumidifying feature is another highlight of this portable air conditioner, capable of removing up to 78 pints of moisture from the air in a day. This helps create a more comfortable environment by reducing humidity levels, which is particularly beneficial during summer months. The ARC-131GD offers an auto-drain function that allows the condensate collected during the cooling process to be reused for cooling, minimizing the need for manual water removal.

User convenience is emphasized in the design of this air conditioner. It comes with a remote control, allowing users to adjust settings such as temperature, mode, and fan speed from a distance. Additionally, the digital display and programmable timer enhance usability, providing further control over your indoor climate.

Energy efficiency is another key aspect of the Whynter ARC-131GD, as it is Energy Star rated. This certification indicates that the unit meets strict energy efficiency guidelines, helping users save on electricity bills while using the product.

Overall, the Whynter ARC-131GD is an excellent portable air conditioning solution, combining advanced technology, user-friendly features, and energy efficiency to ensure comfort in any setting. Its reliable performance and innovative design make it a popular choice for individuals seeking effective cooling solutions.
