4.1 Zero Adjustment

This function will auto zero the sensor signal. Make sure to perform zero adjustment only in a clean environment without combustible gases present.

??Switch the function switch to “TEST”- position. Instrument will perform an automatic selftest.

??Press “Cal” using the keyboard pin. The display will show “000” indicating the automatic zero adjust.

??When the zero adjust is finished, display will show “GCAL”.

??Now you can call up additional functions or leave the service mode by turning the function switch to the “ON” or “OFF”- position.

4.2 Span Adjustment

The sensitivity of the sensor may decrease with time due to exposure to substances poisoning the catalytic bead. Therefore it is important to recalibrate the Compur Ex plus in regular intervales.

Items needed for calibration:

-Cal gas adapter (see accessories)

-Valve with flow meter

-Tubing (Silicon free)

-Span gas

(we recommend to use span gas with 50 % LEL)
