INFORMATION

Propane Gas: Propane gas is odorless. An odor-making agent is added to

propane gas. The odor helps you detect a propane gas leak. However, the odor

added to propane gas can fade. Propane gas may be present even though no odor

exists.

Make certain you read and understand all warnings. Keep this manual for

reference. It is your guide to safe and proper operation of this heater.

For indoor use only. Provide adequate ventilation.

• Do not use heater outdoors or in occupied dwellings.

Do not use heater in living or sleeping quarters.

• Keep appliance area clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline,

paint thinner, and other flammable vapors and liquids. Do not use heater in

areas with high dust content.

• Do not use heater below ground level. Propane gas is heavier than air. If a

leak occurs, propane gas will sink to the lowest possible level.

Use only in well-vented areas. Before using heater, provide at least three

square feet of fresh, outside air opening for each 100,000 BTU/Hr of rating.

This heater produces carbon monoxide, which is listed by the State of

California as a reproductive toxin under Proposition 65.

• Check heater for damage before each use. Do not use a damaged heater.

• Keep heater away from strong drafts, water spray, rain, or dripping water.

• Never attach duct work to heater.

• Never block air inlet (bottom of shell) or air outlet (around top of shell) of heater.

• Keep children and animals away from heater.

Locate heater on stable and level surface if heater is hot or operating.

• Minimum heater clearances from combustibles: Sides: 4 feet,

Top: 6 feet-2 inches.

Install and use heater with care. Follow all local ordinances and codes. In the

absence of local ordinances and codes, refer to ANSI/NFPA 58. This in-

structs on the safe storage and handling of propane gases.

• Use only the hose and factory preset regulator provided with the heater.

Inspect hose before each use of heater. If highly worn or cut, replace before

using heater. Use the replacement hose assembly that is specified by the

manufacturer.

• Use only propane gas set up for vapor withdrawal.

• Keep propane tank(s) below 100° F.

Keep heater at least six feet from propane tank(s).

• Never move, handle, or service a hot or operating heater. Severe burns may

result. You must wait 30 minutes after turning heater off.

• To prevent injury, wear gloves when handling heater.

• Turn off propane supply to heater when not in use.

Do not alter heater. Keep heater in its original state.

Do not use heater if altered.

Use only original replacement parts. This heater must use design-specific

parts. Do not substitute or use generic parts. Improper replacement parts

could cause serious or fatal injuries.

RCP275, TC275 specifications

Desa TC275 and RCP275 are remarkable advancements in thermal comfort and energy efficiency, showcasing the latest technologies in heating and cooling systems. Designed for both residential and commercial applications, these models offer innovative features that cater to modern demands for climate control, sustainability, and user-friendly operation.

The Desa TC275 is a powerful, high-efficiency gas-fired heater that provides consistent warmth even in the coldest weather conditions. With its adjustable thermostat, users can easily set their preferred temperature, ensuring optimal comfort at all times. The TC275 incorporates advanced technology that enhances safety, including an automatic shut-off feature and a robust flame-proof safety guard. These elements not only promote peace of mind but also extend the lifespan of the unit.

Meanwhile, the RCP275 model serves as an energy-efficient reverse cycle air conditioning unit, designed to deliver both heating and cooling. This dual functionality makes it a versatile choice for year-round climate control. Equipped with a high Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER), the RCP275 maximizes energy use, translating to lower utility bills. Its inverter technology further optimizes energy consumption by adjusting the compressor speed according to the indoor climate needs.

Both the TC275 and RCP275 boast user-friendly interfaces, enabling seamless operation. The intuitive control systems allow users to program schedules, adjust settings, and monitor performance, all from a central dashboard. Additionally, these units are designed with quiet operation in mind, ensuring that noise does not interfere with daily activities or sleep.

Another key characteristic is the environmentally conscious design. The Desa TC275 employs low-emission technology, which minimizes its carbon footprint, aligning with global trends toward sustainability. Similarly, the RCP275 utilizes eco-friendly refrigerants that contribute to a healthier environment.

In summary, Desa TC275 and RCP275 are exemplary models of modern heating and cooling technologies. Their combination of efficiency, safety, and user-centric features makes them ideal choices for anyone looking to enhance their indoor comfort while being mindful of energy consumption and environmental impact.
