Batteries

The digital keypad and locking mechanism require four "AA" batteries to operate. Under normal con- ditions, new or fully charged batteries should last approximately one year.

If the batteries have lost their charge and the digi- tal keypad does not respond, use the safe key to open the door and replace the batteries.

Note: The emergency code is stored in perma- nent memory so that, in the event the digital key- pad loses power, this code will remain the same.

Maintenance

Wipe the surfaces of your safe with a clean, slightly damp cloth. If the door develops a squeak, open it and apply a drop or two to the hinge rod contact points.
