CARE AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING:

Turn the power switch off and unplug the machine before cleaning.

NOTE:

Do not dismantle the machine in any way other than what is explained on this page.

Cleaning the Hook Race and Feed Dog

Remove the Hook Cover Plate by sliding the hook cover plate release button to the right. Take out the bobbin. Remove dust and lint with a lint brush.

(You may also use a vacuum cleaner.)

1Remove the Set Screw on the needle plate with the screwdriver supplied with the machine. Remove the Needle Plate.

2Take out the bobbin. Lift up the Bobbin Holder and remove it.

3Clean the Bobbin Holder with a Lint Brush.

4Clean the Feed Dog and Hook Race with the Lint Brush.

5Clean the Hook Race with a dry cloth. (You may also use a vacuum cleaner.)

Assemble the hook race

1Insert the Bobbin Holder.

2The Knob of the bobbin holder should fit next to the Stopper in the hook race.

3Reattach the needle plate, aligning the Needle Plate Guide Pins with the Guide Holes on the needle plate and tighten the screw.

NOTE:

After cleaning the machine, make sure the needle and presser foot are attached.
