Adición de los periféricos necesarios para nodos en clúster PowerEdge 8450

La siguiente lista proporciona información sobre asignación de ranuras PCI para los buses PCI del sistema, los controladores RAID, NIC y la DRAC.

Los bus PCI

Bus PCI 1: ranuras PCI 1 y 2 son de 64 bits, 33 MHz.

Bus PCI 2: ranuras PCI de 3 a 6 son de 64 bits, 33 MHz.

Bus PCI 3: ranuras PCI 7 y 8 son de 64 bits, 33/66 MHz.

Bus PCI 4: las ranuras PCI 9 y 10 son de 64 bits, 33/66 MHz. Controladores RAID

Instale el controlador RAID para las unidades internas del servidor en la ranura PCI 1.

Instale controladores RAID adicionales en cualquier ranura PCI disponible de 64 bits, 33 MHz ó 32 bits, 33 MHz.

Si se utilizan varios controladores RAID y hay ranuras disponibles, Dell reco- mienda instalar los controladores RAID en buses PCI separados de 64 bits para equilibrar la carga en el sistema.

Los NIC

Se pueden instalar controladores NIC en cualquier ranura PCI disponible.

Dell recomienda que los adaptadores Giganet cLAN se instalen en las ranuras de 64 bits.

DRAC

Si actualmente está utilizando un DRAC o si piensa utilizar uno en el futuro, instálelo en la ranura PCI 2.

NOTA: Para asegurarse de que el controlador SCSI o RAID conectado a la unidad de inicio efectivamente se inicialice primero, puede que tenga que cambiar el orden de exploración del bus PCI, si el BIOS del sistema soporta esta opción, o cambiar el orden del RAID, NIC y DRAC. Al realizar estas tareas, se asegura que el sistema operativo Windows numerará las unidades de inicio en la secuencia correcta.
