Installation Checklist

A. Water Heater Location

Close to area of heated water demand.

Indoors and protected from moisture, wet conditions and freezing temperatures.

Area free of flammable vapors.

1,000 cu. ft unconditioned indoor space.

Provisions made to protect area from water damage.

Sufficient room to service heater.

Eight inches (8") of clearance from ceiling to top of heat pump water heater to allow for air circulation.

Access to condensate disposal.

B. Water Supply

Water heater completely filled with water.

Air purged from water heater and piping.

Water connections tight and free of leaks.

C. Relief Valve

Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve properly installed and discharge line run to open drain.

Discharge line protected from freezing.

D. Wiring

Power Supply voltage agrees with water heater rating plate.

Branch circuit wire and fusing or circuit breaker of proper size. (Minimum 30 amp breaker)

Electrical connections tight and unit properly grounded.

10 gauge wire.

E. Condensate Lines

Condensate lines from heat pump installed correctly.

Condensate lines from heat pump run to a suitable drain location.
