N.B. We strongly recommended that the water filter is replaced after 90 days or 90 uses; more often if you have hard water. Failure to do so can lead to a build-up of limescale and affect the performance of your ap- pliance. Replacement filters can be purchased directly from the manufacturer, (refer to UK After Sales section for further details).

BAdding the Water and Ground Coffee

Before making coffee for the first time, we recommend operating the appliance once, using only water, to remove any dust or residue that may remain in the system from the manufacturing process.

1. Fill the water reservoir

ßOpen the lid of the Brew Central, the water reservoir is located at the back right of the machine.

ßPour the desired amount of fresh cold water into the reservoir using the step water level indicator, located at the rear of the reservoir.

2.Add the ground coffee

ßRemove the filter basket from the filter chamber by grasping the handle and lifting straight up, and then place it on the work surface.

ßInsert a suitable paper filter if required ensuring it is completely open and fully inserted in the basket. Or simply use the permanent gold tone filter.

ßAdd the desired amount of ground coffee, corresponding to the number of cups being brewed. We recom- mend using 1 level scoop of ground coffee per cup, but use more or less to suit your taste. Always ensure the coffee used is ground to the correct consistency for a filter coffee machine, otherwise the machine may flood. N.B. The maximum capacity for ground coffee is 17 tablespoons for this coffee maker. Exceeding this amount may damage the appliance.
