OTHER FUNCTIONS

TIMER Operation (Remote Control Only)

This system includes a programmable timer that can switch the system ‘On’and ‘Off’at any time you specify.

NOTE: IN ORDER FOR THE TIMER TO OPERATE THE SYSTEM, THE TIME OF DAY MUST BE SET CORRECTLY. REFER TO “SETTING THE CLOCK” ON PAGE 16 IF NECESSARY.

1.) Turn the system ‘On’and press the MODE button on the remote control twice. The display will show “TIMER”, “12:00”, and the “ON” indicator will be flashing.

2.) Press the PROGRAM button. The HOUR digits will begin to flash.

3.) Within 10 seconds press the / buttons to set the display to the desired turn on hour, AM or PM.

4.) Press the PROGRAM button. The MINUTE digits will begin to flash.

5.) Within 10 seconds press the / buttons to set the display to the desired turn on minute and the press the PROGRAM button once more. The turn on time is now set.

6.) Press the MODE button on the remote control again. The “OFF” indicator begins flashing.

7.) Repeat Steps 2 through 5 to set the desired turn “Off” time.

8.) After setting both the ‘ON’and ‘OFF’times, the timer is automatically activated and the “TIMER” indicator remains in the display. At the selected ‘On’time the system will turn on automatically, play until the turn off time, and then shut ‘Off’automatically. This auto ‘On’/ auto ‘Off’cycle will be repeated every 24 hours until the timer is deactivated. To deactivate the timer press the TIMER button on the remote control until the TIMER indicator disappears from the display. To reactivate, press again until the TIMER indicator reappears. To shut the system off manually before the ‘auto Off’time, just press the POWER button as usual.

Note:

When the timer turns the system ‘On’, it will come on to the same function – TUNER, CD or AUX – that was selected before the power was shut off. Therefore make sure that you have selected the radio station or CD that you want to hear when the system turns on, and you have adjusted the VOLUME, EQ, and X-BASS controls as desired.
