Breville recommends safety first
removing the lid from the blender jug. The blender jug should then be removed from the motor body and the food carefully removed before attempting to remove the blade assembly.
•Do not operate the blender continuously for periods longer than 2 minutes on any setting. None of the recipes in this book are considered a heavy load. If the blender is operated continuously for too long, it should be allowed to rest for 25- 30 minutes before recommencing.
•Allow the motor to rest for 1 minute between each use.
•Do not operate the appliance continuously with heavy loads for more than 10 seconds.
•Do not process hot or boiling liquids – allow liquids to cool before placing into the blender jug.
•Do not move the blender whilst in operation.
•Do not leave the blender unattended when in use.
•Do not place any part of the blender in the dishwasher or microwave oven.
•Do not place anything on top of the blender jug when the lid is on, when in use and when stored.
•Keep the blender clean. Follow the cleaning instructions provided in this book.
•Always turn the power off at the power outlet and then remove the power plug from the power outlet before attempting to move the appliance, when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning or storing.
motor overload protection
•Your blender is equipped with overload protection.
•If your blender is overloaded the motor will stop and the “overload protection” light will flash, next to the ice crush button.
•Please do not attempt to use the blender while the “overload protection” light is flashing.
•Once the warning light stops flashing (this could take up to 30 minutes) the blender has cooled sufficiently and is ready to use again. Reselect the desired speed or function. If you have turned the blender off you will need to switch it back on, wait for the flashing light to stop then reselect the desired speed or function.
•We recommend removing a portion of the mixture, cutting food into smaller pieces of even sizing and / or processing a smaller amount per batch.
