7. GLOSSARIO

Crossover: dispositivo che limita la gamma di frequenze inviate ad un altoparlante o ad un amplificatore.

Hz: abbreviazione di Hertz, un’unità di frequenza corrispondente a un ciclo per secondo.

Ottava: il principio musicale di dividere le frequenze audio nelle otto note della scala musicale.

Ohm: unità della resistenza elettrica

Ingresso/uscita RCA: porta attraverso la quale il suono viaggia all’interno e all’esterno del sistema; “RCA” si riferisce al tipo di connettore, prodotto per la prima volta da Radio Corporation of America.

Pendenza: velocità con cui il suono si attenua espressa in dB. Più alto è il numero di dB, più veloce sarà l’attenuazione della frequenza.
