IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

Read all instructions before using.

1.Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

2.To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or Toaster in water or other liquids.

3.Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

4.Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts or before cleaning appliance.

5.To disconnect, make sure lever knob is in up position, then remove plug from electrical outlet. Remove plug by gripping plug body and pulling it from the outlet.

Never yank or twist cord to unplug.

6.Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. To avoid the risk of electrical shock, do not disassemble; return the Toaster to an Authorized Norelco Service Location for examination, repair, or adjustment. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electrical shock when Toaster is used.

7.Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use accessory attachments not recommended by Philips Electronics North America Corporation as they may cause fire, electric shock or injury.

8.Do not use outdoors or operate where oxygen is being administered or in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.

9.Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
