MOIST & DELICIOUS MOLASSESCAKE
2 cups flour
1 cup water
112 cup sugar
112cup molasses
112cup brown sugar
1teaspoon baking soda
114cup butter or margarine
Cqmbine flour, sugar, brown sugar and butter or margarine in a bowl. Set aside l/2 cup mixture for topping. Add water. molasses, and baking soda to large portion of crumb mix- ture. Pour into greased and floured 8” x 4” loaf pan. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mix- ture. Cover pan with aluminum foil to prevent water from entering. Be sure the foil creates a tight seal around the pan. Fill Water Reservoir to Max level. Place pan in Steaming Bowl. Steam for 60 minutes.
COFFEECAKE
112cup margarine
2cups flour
1cup sugar
1112 teaspoons baking powder
2eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla cinnamon, to taste
Combine all ingredients except cinnamon in a bowl. Pour into greased and floured 8” x 4” loaf pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover pan with aluminum foil to prevent water from entering. Be sure the foil creates a tight seal around the pan. Fill Water Reservoir
to Max level. Place pan in Steaming Bowl. Steam for 60 minutes. Sprinkle with more cinnamon when finished.
BANANABREAD
1112 cup flour
112 cup margarine
2 teaspoons baking powder l/4 cup milk
112 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
112 teaspoon salt
Combine flour, sugar. baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add bananas, margarine, milk and egg. Pour into greased and floured 8” x 4” loaf pan. Cover pan with aluminum foil to prevent water from entering. Be sure the foil creates a tight seal around the pan. Fill Water Reservoir to Max level. Place pan in Steaming Bowl. Steam for 60 minutes.
