POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
BEFORE USE
Clean unit thoroughly. See “To Clean” Section.
NOTE: When first used, your appliance may smoke slightly. Any smoke or odor is normal and will not recur after a few uses.
TO BOIL WATER
NOTE: Do not use for heating oil or butter.
Fill hot pot with the amount of cold water needed or to the Maximum Fill Indicator located on the inside of the unit. Keep hot pot level when filling. Hot pot should always be unplugged when filling with water. Place hot pot on a dry, level, heat resistant surface.
Cover and turn thermostat control dial to High. Plug into 120 volt AC outlet. Water will soon come to a full boil. DO NOT ALLOW TO BOIL DRY. Unplug before emptying water.
To avoid spilling of hot liquid, keep cover in place while pouring. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not overfill. Do not operate when empty.
CAUTION: This appliance is intended to hold hot or boiling liquids. To avoid burns or other injuries, extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot or boiling liquids. Keep away from children when operating.
