Follow these steps to power the SCP-87 from your
vehicle’s battery.
1. Set the adapter’s voltage swi tch to 3V.
2. Insert the adapter’s 3.4 mm outer diameter/1.3
mm inn er di am eter tip i nto the ada pter’s cord, so
it reads –TIP.
3. Insert the plug in to the SCP-87’s DC 3V ja ck .
4. Plug the other end of the adapter into the vehi-
cle’s cigarette-lighter socket.
RESETTING THE SCP-87
If the SCP-87’s display locks up or does not work
properly after you connect power, reset the SCP-87.
To reset the SCP-87, press RESET using a pointed
object, such as a ball-poi nt pen.
Caution: Resetting the SCP-87 clears all the set-
tings you have stored. Reset the SCP-87 only when
you are sure it is not work ing properly.
